The Bradford Bulls Foundation are offering teenagers the opportunity to study for a Level 3 BTEC in Sports. The course is designed for people aged between 16-18 and will be delivered within the Provident Stadium.
The course allows students the opportunity to pursue tailor- made work placements while preparing them for future employment with industry guest speakers.
It provides a solid foundation for students wishing to pursue a career in the sports industry or go on to study sports in higher education. Modules include: Anatomy, sports coaching, fitness testing, exercise physiology and nutrition.
This is the third year in which the Foundation are running the course and it will be delivered by former Castleford and England Rugby League player Darren Rogers, who has recently been appointed as Education and Apprenticeship Manager by the Foundation.
Darren commented “This course provides the opportunity for students to develop and educate themselves in a professional environment”.
“The course is delivered in a practical and engaging way allowing students the opportunity to explore different learning styles”.
Learners also have the opportunity to become actively involved with the Foundation on gamedays and assist Foundation Development Officers with school coaching programmes.
