The Bradford Bulls Foundation are delighted to announce that their England Talent Pathway programme has achieved an ‘Outstanding’ rating following a recent review by the Rugby Football League (RFL).
The programme which has been operating for just over a year is run in association with the RFL and is designed to develop the talent of Under 12s, Under 13s, Under 14s and Under 15s `in the Bradford area. It is also part of the England development Pathway and Bradford Bulls are an “Accredited England Player Development Club”.
Over the course of the year block sessions are held at Bradford Academy and focus on skills coaching, movement, mental preparation and coachability. This year has seen 80 young players attend sessions.
Bradford schools and community clubs have access to continued professional development to enhance their knowledge of player development, training the community coaches and teachers to training and developing future stars.
RFL National Player Development Manager Tony Fretwell commented, “Bradford Bulls Foundation are delivering excellent provision on their England Talent Pathway programme, that includes player development opportunities, coach development CPD and parent workshops, with insight-led decision making. This is both enhancing the quality of player and coach in the city and investing in the local game. The Bulls Foundation should be commended for this ongoing work”.
