Bradford Bulls star Omari Caro might be better known for his speed on the rugby field, but he’s quick between the ears too.
And he was sharing some of the skills that made him smart with kids at Fearnville Primary School in Bradford, where he paid a visit to encourage reading and literacy.
He met with children from Years 2 and 3 to speak about his career with the Bulls and to share some of his favourite books with them.
“It was wonderful to see a local sports star taking time out of his busy training schedule to help promote reading skills in school. The children loved it and it’s inspired them to want to read even more at home” said Daniel Cassidy, Year Three teacher at Fearnville.
The kids responded by making pictures of Omari – and now they’re looking forwards to him coming back to cheer them on in their tag rugby tournament at the end of term.
