The Bradford Bulls Foundation works alongside the Bradford Youth Service to deliver a number of Social Inclusion programmes throughout the city. Working closely with members of the Bradford Youth Service the Foundation Youth Inclusion co-ordinator Nigel O’Flaherty Johnston has worked on projects over the past year which have included: working with Young People to kick off the development of a internet station so the younger generation of Bradford can use this media to showcase individual talents and skills and also have a voice. In addition pupils from Tong High School and Bradford Academy took part in a series of music workshops culminating in a live performance at the Provident Stadium and the production of a CD.
As well as partnership work with the Youth Service, the social inclusion department at the Foundation are working with a small group of young people alongside Banardos to encourage them to lead a healthy lifestyle using the medium of sport.
Another partner of the Foundation is Northern Rail and with them we are engaging young people from Bradford Grammar school and surrounding primary schools to work at Frizinghall train station to give the platform area a creative make over. This is part of the Northern Rail station adoption scheme.
